The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has acquired new compelling evidence concerning the abduction of Ukrainian children by Russian forces from temporarily occupied regions. Cyber specialists from GUR conducted a large-scale operation that allowed them access to the servers of the so-called "Crimean government".

These servers contained documentation confirming the forced relocation of children from the occupied areas of Kherson, Zaporizhia, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions.

Specifically, the intelligence officers discovered thousands of lists of abducted children, details about unaccompanied minors, and illegal decisions appointing new guardians from among Russian citizens, as well as addresses of new residences for the abducted Ukrainian children.

“Thousands of files containing invaluable information for justice regarding one of the most significant war crimes – the abduction of Ukrainian children – have already been submitted to law enforcement agencies. This information will be analyzed and included in criminal proceedings. The acquired data will assist in locating and returning the abducted children to their homeland and punishing those responsible for this crime,” stated GUR MO representative Andriy Yusov.

The GUR MO of Ukraine emphasizes that every crime against the Ukrainian people will face appropriate retribution.
