The Starlink satellite internet network has resumed operations following a major outage that lasted approximately two and a half hours, impacting communication stability, particularly in combat zones.
This was reported by the company's vice president, Michael Nichols, on platform X, and the commander of the UAF's drone forces, Robert Brodii, known as "Madyar".
Nichols stated: "The outage was caused by the failure of key internal software services that support the main network operations. We apologize for the temporary service interruption; we aim to ensure a highly reliable network and will fully address this issue to prevent it from recurring".
Details from Brodii indicated that connectivity was restored across all fronts approximately between 00:35 and 01:05.
He noted that during the outage, combat operations continued without broadcasts, including reconnaissance with strike assets.
"Madyar" emphasized: "Combat operations were conducted without broadcasts; reconnaissance was carried out using strike assets. This incident, lasting a lengthy 150 minutes during wartime, highlights vulnerabilities. It’s essential to consider and diversify communication methods".
