Late in the evening on July 23, a tragic incident occurred involving a dredging vessel owned by the "Delta-Lotsman" branch of the state enterprise "Administration of Sea Ports of Ukraine".

The vessel was engaged in scheduled operations at the "Bystre" mouth with a crew of 11 members.

As a result of the explosion, three AMPU employees lost their lives. We extend our sincere condolences to the families of the deceased. Other crew members are currently in the hospital receiving necessary medical assistance.

Relevant authorities are working at the scene. Details of the incident are being clarified. Further information will be provided later.

The state enterprise "Administration of Sea Ports of Ukraine" will offer full support to the families of the victims and those affected by the incident.

The sea approach channel at the "Bystre" mouth is temporarily closed to vessel traffic. Access for vessels to and from the Danube region ports is currently being managed through the Sulina Canal.
