Starting July 24, a differentiated air raid alert system will be implemented in the Kyiv region, which will sound only in areas where there is a real threat.
This was announced on Facebook by Mykola Kalashnyk, the head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration.
He stated that if hostile targets are identified, the alert will be sent only to those parts of the region under direct threat, rather than across the entire Kyiv area.
“We tested this system last night in cooperation with the Air Forces and the State Emergency Service. The system operated reliably and without failures,” assured the head of the administration.
This is not merely a technical upgrade but the introduction of an addressable notification principle that meets the current requirements to support business operations, the educational process in institutions, and all other sectors affected by the war.
The region continues to modernize the entire alert system.
The new architecture includes modern equipment; digital communication channels; backup power to ensure autonomous operation even during outages.
