On Tuesday, President Volodymyr Zelensky officially approved a new law concerning dual citizenship in Ukraine.
This was reported by the president himself.
Zelensky emphasized that he signed the document, which was adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on June 18, making significant changes to the processes of acquiring and maintaining Ukrainian citizenship.
"With the introduction of dual citizenship, we will create stronger legal foundations for the unity of our great nation – millions of Ukrainians across all continents, as well as those who have tied their destiny to Ukraine", – he pointed out.
According to him, Ukraine will soon begin identifying the first partner countries with which dual citizenship will be implemented.
