CHARITY MATCH: a football event supporting Ukraine's military intelligence took place in Kyiv
On July 12, at the Valeriy Lobanovskyi Dynamo Stadium in Kyiv, stars of Ukrainian arts, sports veterans, and military intelligence personnel came together for the charity match “MAGURA UNITED” in aid of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine.
The main goal of the event was to raise funds for the procurement of the latest MAGURA drones for military intelligence.
Before the match, the National Anthem of Ukraine was played. A moment of silence was observed to honor those who sacrificed their lives for Ukraine's independence.
General-Lieutenant Kyrylo Budanov thanked the players for their support of military capabilities.
“Today, MAGURA is not just a marine drone; it represents Ukrainian innovation known worldwide for successful combat operations. Recently, we officially recorded five records achieved by military intelligence due to these drones. Thank you to everyone supporting MAGURA and helping to make our country stronger,” stated Kyrylo Budanov.
The first symbolic kick was made by a special forces soldier from the GUR “Group 13” with the call sign “Khan.” This unit is actively using the latest marine drones.
The match featured two teams: “Formula of Victory” and “Ukrainian Artists Team,” consisting of actors, athletes, TV presenters, musicians, volunteers, veterans, and military intelligence personnel. The teams were coached by Oleksandr Holovko and Oleksandr Khatskevych.
Among the participants were musicians Amil and Ramil Nasirov, Artem Damnytskyi, Ivan Lyulenov, Bakhrama and Yevhen Zhuravlyov; actors Mykhailo Dodaliev and Valerii Skovronskyi; TV presenter Andrii Djedzhula, as well as Skrudzhi and Tamerlan; comedians Petro Bamper and Sus, Slava Kedr; and famous former footballers — Yevhen Khacheridi, Artem Yashkin, Volodymyr Lysenko, Denys Oliinyk, Vitalii Lysytskyi, and many others.
“During the large fundraising initiative for new MAGURA drones, we have already raised over 30 million UAH. These funds have financed the production of MAGURA V7 attack drones and W6P reconnaissance drones. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the fundraising and organization of the charity match. The collection continues,” shared the head of the charity fund, Diana Podolyanchuk.
