Due to adverse weather conditions (thunderstorm fronts, rain, and strong winds), 701 settlements in six regions of Ukraine were partially or completely without electricity on the morning of July 8.

This is reported by "Ukrenergo".

"Repair teams from regional energy companies are already working to fix the damages. Power restoration for all affected consumers is expected by the end of the day," the statement said.

Additionally, according to the company, as of 9:30 AM on July 8, electricity consumption was 6.4% higher than the same time the previous day – Monday.

"The reason is the hot weather prevailing across Ukraine. Additionally, cloudy conditions with rain in parts of the western and central regions are leading to lower performance of household solar power plants," explained "Ukrenergo".

They also emphasized the need for energy conservation during the evening peak consumption period – from 5 PM to 10 PM – advising against using multiple high-power appliances simultaneously.
