Elon Musk has announced on social media platform X the establishment of a new political organization in the USA named "American Party". This initiative is intended to serve as an alternative to the existing bipartisan system. The idea has garnered interest from business figures, including billionaire Mark Cuban and investor Anthony Scaramucci, who have publicly supported Musk. This was reported by Engadget.
Cuban, who celebrated Musk's post with joyful emojis, highlighted his collaboration with the Center for Competitive Democracy and expressed readiness to assist Musk's party in getting on the ballots.
Scaramucci, who briefly held the position of communications director in the White House in 2017, offered to meet with Musk to discuss future steps. It is known that both businessmen previously supported Kamala Harris.
Musk stated that his "American Party" aims to secure 2–3 seats in the Senate and 8–10 districts in the House of Representatives. Currently, it is unclear whether the political entity has been officially registered, as some mentions in the Federal Election Commission appear dubious and coexist with humorous names such as "Doge Party" and "American Meme Party".
