An explosion took place in the Desnyanskyi district of Kyiv on Sunday, sending a plume of black smoke into the sky. Preliminary reports indicate that a tank exploded in a commercial enterprise hangar.
According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko and KMVA head Timur Tkachenkо, this incident is unrelated to TETs-6.
Klitschko stated: "The explosion reported by Telegram channels is not connected to TETs-6. It occurred in a hangar nearby, where a fuel tank exploded."
According to the mayor, there are currently no casualties, and emergency services are on site.
KMVA head Timur Tkachenkо reported that power outages have affected several streets on the left bank of Kyiv. He also confirmed that the information about the explosion at TETs-6 is false, and the fire has already been contained.
According to "Kyivteploenergo", TETs-6 is operating normally, and there is no threat to Kyiv's energy supply.
From "Kyivteploenergo": "The incident occurred at a facility outside TETs-6. The station's equipment is functioning normally, and there are no explosions or fires at the TETs-6 site. Consumers receiving electricity from the station have not experienced outages, and there is no threat to Kyiv's energy supply either."
