Devastating floods in Kerr County, Texas, have claimed at least 43 lives, with 27 children still reported missing.

Leita reported that among the deceased, there are 28 adults and 15 children. He also mentioned that the identification of five children and 12 adults is still pending.
Mayor Rice added that 27 children from Camp Mystic remain unaccounted for.
Quote from Rice: "We anticipated that today would be a difficult day, so our numbers may unfortunately change."
"We are continuously working on the identification process," he added.
Earlier reports indicated that in Texas's Hill Country, an entire month’s worth of rain fell within a few hours, leading to numerous casualties and individuals reported missing.
