On July 3, 2025, the second group of Ukrainian teenagers and their escorts arrived in Chernivtsi after a horrific traffic accident that occurred on June 13 in France.

We express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the treatment and care of our children.

We especially want to highlight the coordinated efforts of our colleagues from the Crisis Center of the DKS, Ukrainian consuls in France, Austria, Hungary, and the representation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Uzhhorod. They efficiently and effectively coordinated the efforts of many services and organizations during this time.

We would like to once again thank those who provided assistance to the Ukrainian children:

• Medical professionals from France, Austria, and Ukraine
• Ukrzaliznytsia, the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB), and the National Company of French Railways (SNCF)
• The Prefecture of the Sart department and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of France
• Ukrainian volunteers
• Regional authorities in Transcarpathia and Chernivtsi
• Representatives of the French Red Cross

We extend our deepest condolences to the families who lost their loved ones in this tragedy. We also wish a speedy recovery and safe return home to the three Ukrainians who are still undergoing treatment in France.
