A new information platform dedicated to the search for missing persons under special circumstances was recently unveiled in the capital of Ukraine.

The platform was introduced during a press conference in Kyiv by its creators from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

This platform aims to coordinate the search for missing individuals and provide assistance to their families.

«We have gathered all necessary information to assist the relatives of missing persons. Our goal is to bridge the communication gap between the searching authorities and families in need of support. We strive to ensure that people feel our support and know that we are doing everything possible for their loved ones», - stated Maryana Reva, Director of the Communication Department of the Ministry.

The platform includes guidelines on how to start a search, submit applications, provide DNA samples for identification, and also informs about rights and social guarantees.

«We have established specialized centers for searching missing persons at every investigative department of the National Police. This platform will help families get acquainted with the operations of these centers and quickly find the relevant investigators», - said Kristina Podiryako, Head of the Crime Investigation Department.

The platform offers comprehensive information on who is involved in searching for missing persons, where to seek help, and how to interact with law enforcement.

«This is a dynamic system that commits to providing current information about the processes involved in searching for missing individuals. We demonstrate how families can access all necessary information», - noted Arthur Dobroserdov, the Commissioner for Missing Persons.

According to the developers, the platform is expected to be a vital resource for coordinating efforts between government agencies and NGOs in the search for missing persons.

The platform is available online on the Ministry of Internal Affairs website.

A unified body identification register may begin operations in Ukraine later this year.
