The National Bank of Ukraine has identified a new fraudulent scheme involving the distribution of emails containing malicious attachments that impersonate official NBU communications.

This information was reported by the NBU's press service.

Criminals are sending emails from various addresses but use a fake e-mail in the signature: nbu@gov.nbu.ua, which resembles the official NBU domain.

The NBU has urged the public not to download files attached to such emails and to avoid clicking on links provided.

Moreover, the NBU emphasized that its employees use only official corporate email with the domain @bank.gov.ua for electronic correspondence.
