On May 27, the warriors of the Special Operations Forces celebrate their professional holiday.
Greetings on the Day of SOF
The Commander of the SOF, Alexander Trepak, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov, and the Chief of the General Staff Syrskiy joined in the greetings.
Defense Minister Rustem Umerov emphasized that the SOF warriors carry out the most challenging tasks that require maximum risk and precision.
He noted that not all operations become public, but each one disrupts the enemy's plans and saves Ukrainian lives.
“The Special Operations Forces are the legends of modern warfare, professionals deserving of respect,” Umerov highlighted.
“I bow my head before the fallen heroes. Thank you for your courage and skill. I wish you success in all your operations,” he added.

Major General Alexander Trepak also congratulated his subordinates on their professional holiday.
“This day honors those who fight against the enemy on all fronts,” Trepak stated.
He emphasized that May 27 became a symbolic date related to the liberation of Donetsk airport in 2014.
Trepak stressed that SOF warriors continue the legacy of their ancestors who fought for Ukraine's independence.
“Your combat experience and continuous improvement allow you to operate in the most challenging circumstances,” he noted.
The Commander also pointed out that the Special Operations Forces have moved combat actions to enemy territory, striking at the myth of invulnerability surrounding their borders.
Trepak highlighted the high price of victories and called for honoring the memory of the fallen.
Greetings from Chief of the Armed Forces Syrskiy
General Alexander Syrskiy assured that SOF warriors “make the impossible possible.”
He reminded that May 27 was established as the Day of SOF, linked to the heroic operation of 2014.
Syrskiy emphasized that SOF warriors disrupt the enemy's logistics and strike where they are least expected.
“These are the ones who fought for Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv. Thank you for your service,” he said.

The Main Intelligence Directorate also congratulated the SOF fighters, highlighting their resilience and determination.
“Eternal glory to the heroes of SOF who fight for Ukraine's freedom. Those who continue the struggle should receive strength for successful operations,” the message stated.
