The Czech Republic is preparing to finance the upgrade of 13 hospitals across seven regions of Ukraine as part of the Ukraine Facility program.
This was reported by Ukraine's Minister of Health Viktor Liashko on his Facebook page, as noted by "European Truth".
Liashko emphasized that the Czech Republic is ready to invest €100 million in hospital renovations under the Ukraine Facility. To date, funding for 6 projects has been preliminarily approved.
Among the facilities that will receive support are the Lviv Regional Veterans Hospital, Rivne Regional Veterans Hospital, Volyn Regional Clinical Hospital, Kryvyi Rih City Hospital No. 5, City Clinical Hospital No. 16 in Dnipro, and Kyiv Regional Children's Hospital.
"These are not just projects – they represent real changes for patients. We are grateful to the Czech Republic for its support and willingness to assist Ukraine on this important journey," said Liashko.
It is worth noting that the European Commission transferred €3.5 billion to Ukraine on April 1 under the Ukraine Facility program.
On March 20, European Commission Vice President Valdis Dombrovskis stated that the EU will continue to financially support Ukraine in 2025 through profits from frozen Russian assets and under the Ukraine Facility plan.
