In 2024, 176 Kyiv residents, including Defenders and their families, as well as families of the fallen, received compensation for medical expenses from the Kyiv budget amounting to nearly 4.4 million UAH. This was reported by the Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration, Marina Honda.

“We aim to provide adequate medical support for each Defender, their families, and the families of the fallen. The compensation for medical expenses is a significant step in this direction, as not all needs are covered by the NCSU. In 2024, 176 individuals benefited from this support. This included compensation for the production of individualized jaw implants and medications for oncology treatment,” said Marina Honda.

She noted that compensation is provided for treatment in outpatient and/or inpatient settings, including endoprosthetics and hearing aids. Information about the categories eligible for this service and the necessary documentation can be found at the following link: http://e.surl.li/hhoqqo.

“The decision to grant compensation is made by a specially established commission. We are diligently working to ensure that support is provided as quickly and effectively as possible to those in need. Each case is unique, so the amounts vary. The highest compensation was 312,000 UAH, and a total of nearly 4.4 million UAH has been paid out. I encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity, which will also be available next year,” added Marina Honda.

The Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration also mentioned that compensation is provided for treatment in departmental, state, and municipal healthcare institutions across Ukraine.
