A new significant facility has opened in Kyiv — the Prosthetics Center ‘Human Titans’, which offers support to those affected by conflict.

This center, located within a city hospital, specializes in modern prosthetics and rehabilitation for both military personnel and civilians. This was reported by the mayor of the city, Vitali Klitschko.

“The idea for this center emerged during my visit to Berlin about two years ago, where we visited a Bundeswehr hospital that was rehabilitating Ukrainian soldiers. This inspired the creation of a similar center in Ukraine,” Klitschko stated.

He also expressed gratitude to Berlin's mayor Kai Wegner, as well as to Life Bridge Ukraine and ONUR GROUP Ukraine for their support in bringing this project to life.

ONUR GROUP Ukraine covered most of the renovation costs for the center, spending over 29 million hryvnias, while the city budget allocated 11.2 million hryvnias.

In June, operations began with the equipment provided by Life Bridge Ukraine. Specialists at the center are actively working on the production of prosthetics and are using a 3D scanner to create precise components.

“During the testing phase, 10 veterans from various regions of Ukraine received prosthetics,” Klitschko shared. “Six technicians have undergone training at prosthetics centers in Berlin. Additionally, around 60 military personnel with lower limb amputations received prosthetics at the Bundeswehr military hospital,” he added.

Mayor Vitali Klitschko thanked everyone involved in making this important project a reality.
