Detectives from the Economic Security Bureau have uncovered an illegal scheme for importing cars, disguised as humanitarian assistance.

This information was reported by the press service of the Bureau.

The investigation revealed that the individuals involved forged requests on behalf of charitable organizations, stating the need for vehicles for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As a result, the perpetrators evaded customs duties and taxes during the importation of the vehicles. The cars were sold for cash.

During sanctioned searches, detectives seized 5 vehicles registered to charitable organizations, documents, handwritten notes, computer equipment, and mobile phones.
