One of the suspects, using a false identity, met a man and, along with accomplices, attacked him in his apartment, stealing property worth over 200,000 UAH. They face up to fifteen years in prison for their actions.
Recently, a 28-year-old local resident reported to the Holosiivskyi police in Kyiv about a robbery involving three unknown attackers.
Police established that one of the suspects created a fake account in a popular messaging app and arranged a meeting with the Kyiv man at his apartment. The intruder, along with his friends, broke into the residence, knocked the owner to the floor, tied his hands with plastic ties, and beat him to force access to online banking.
After obtaining the login and password to the man’s bank card, the criminals increased the credit limit and transferred over 180,000 UAH to their accounts. They also took a gold chain, property documents, and other valuables.
Detectives, in collaboration with criminal analysts, quickly identified the attackers—three local residents aged 17, 18, and 21. During the arrest, the youngest was found in possession of the victim's bank cards.
Investigators, under the supervision of the Holosiivskyi District Prosecutor's Office, informed the suspects of charges under Part 4 of Article 187 (robbery committed by a group of individuals in conspiracy with penetration into a dwelling) and Part 1 of Article 357 (embezzlement of an official document for selfish motives) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. They face up to fifteen years of imprisonment with property confiscation.
