The Security Service of Ukraine has conducted an operation leading to the arrest of another FSB agent in the Dnipropetrovsk region. This informant was involved in coordinating Russian military attacks on Kryvyi Rih and the Kirovohrad region, according to the SBU press service.
Investigations revealed that the aggressors were preparing to strike energy facilities, and the agent's task was to identify the locations of Ukrainian air defense to bypass it.
It was found that the arrested individual is a 39-year-old resident of the Kryvyi Rih district who sought connections with Russian special services through Telegram.
The security service indicated that he was later recruited by a military counterintelligence officer from the FSB.
Following the orders, the agent traveled around the area using public buses, attempting to locate radar stations and anti-aircraft systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Additionally, during air alerts, he documented the routes of mobile fire groups he encountered.
The collected information was sent to his curator in the form of photographs of Ukrainian objects with their coordinates on Google Maps.
The SBU apprehended the adjuster at his residence. During searches, a smartphone containing intelligence information and contacts with the FSB curator was seized.
Investigators informed the agent of the suspicion under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (treason committed under martial law). He is currently in custody without the right to bail, facing life imprisonment with asset confiscation.
