The High Anti-Corruption Court has ruled on the case of SBU General Ilya Vityuk, who is suspected of illegal enrichment and false declaration, setting bail at just over 9 million hryvnias.

This information was announced during the court session on September 4.

Judge Markiyan Halabala partially granted the prosecution's request, which sought bail of 42 million hryvnias. As a result, the court decided on a bail amount of 9 million 84 thousand hryvnias.

The general has 5 days to pay the bail.

He is also subject to several procedural obligations, including surrendering his passports for overseas travel for safekeeping and refraining from communication with certain individuals.

It is noteworthy that NABU and SAP have charged Ilya Vityuk with illegal enrichment and false declaration.

The Security Service of Ukraine views the charges against the general as retaliation from anti-corruption bodies following the detention of several NABU employees in July.

In April 2024, investigative journalists from "Slidstvo.Info" found a premium-class apartment purchased by Vityuk's wife in December 2023, valued at over 20 million hryvnias. After the investigation, SBU head Vasyl Maliuk suspended Vityuk and sent him to the front lines. The National Anti-Corruption Agency has started an inquiry into his lifestyle. On May 1, President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree dismissing Vityuk from his position.
