The Security Service's counterintelligence has exposed another FSB agent among the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This officer, a drone platoon commander, was recruited by the enemy and provided geolocation data of his unit to assist in targeting Ukrainian forces. He also facilitated Russian airstrikes on command posts and ammunition depots.
Investigations revealed that he attempted to recruit other military personnel to collaborate with the aggressor. SBU agents documented his crimes and took measures to protect their units. In the final phase of the operation, the agent was arrested at his unit's base. During searches, a flash drive containing classified information and two phones used to communicate with his handler were found.
According to the investigation, he was recruited through relatives living in temporarily occupied territories. The SBU in Mykolaiv region charged him with treason, which carries a life sentence. All actions were conducted under the supervision of the military prosecutor's office.
