Investigators from the Shevchenkivskyi police department, together with the Security Service of Ukraine in Kyiv and the Kyiv region, have uncovered cases of budget misappropriation.

According to the head of the investigative department, Mykola Habinet, the suspect is acting head of the Department of Urban Planning, Architecture, and Land Use.
It has been established that she, in collusion with entrepreneurs, purchased modular heating system blocks for residential buildings at inflated prices. To illegally acquire budget funds, her affiliated companies marked up the price of each unit before reselling it to the final customer.
As a result, nine modular heating blocks cost the capital one million hryvnias with a markup, as confirmed by expert conclusions.
The investigators detained the official under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and charged her under part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for misappropriation of budget funds through abuse of office. The sanctions of this article provide for imprisonment for up to twelve years, with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years and confiscation of property.
