The individual faces charges of hooliganism involving the use of a firearm.

According to the Podil District Prosecutor's Office of Kyiv, an investigation is underway regarding the hooliganism incident involving a firearm. This was reported by the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office.

It has been established that a 46-year-old resident of Kyiv, while riding his bicycle in the Podil district, drew a pistol and fired at a Ford vehicle that was driving ahead. Inside the car was a woman with a child. According to her, there was no conflict with the assailant.

A female volunteer posted about the incident on social media, urging witnesses to help identify the aggressive attacker.

The police quickly identified the shooter. It turned out that prior to the incident, another vehicle splashed water on the cyclist from a puddle.

In retaliation, the man attempted to chase the car but mistakenly shot at another white vehicle.

The offender was detained, and the firearm was seized. He will soon face charges under Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (hooliganism with the use of firearms or cold weapons). The sanctions for this article provide for imprisonment for a term of 3 to 7 years.
