The man faces up to seven years in prison.

Patrol officers on Bratislava Street in the Desnyanskyi district stopped a suspicious man who was intoxicated and carrying a strange green container. During the inspection, it was revealed that the 39-year-old Kyiv resident was transporting dangerous ammunition. This was reported by the Kyiv police.

The offender had 123 rounds of various calibers, 5 grenades, as well as grenade bodies and detonators seized from him. The man claimed that the ammunition was a birthday gift from a friend.

Investigators detained the man and charged him under Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code — illegal handling of military supplies. The penalty for this article can be up to seven years in prison.
