Today, December 5th, the Kyiv City Council has decided to merge the Kyiv Professional College of Construction and Architecture with the Kyiv Professional College of Construction and Municipal Economy. This was announced by the Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration, Valentyn Mondryivskyi.

According to him, these institutions are located on adjacent plots in the Sviatoshynskyi district, allowing for the unification of their territories into a single educational space, creating common sports facilities as well as shared classrooms and workshops. The economic efficiency of this decision lies in reducing the cost of training a single student by increasing the total enrollment to 1,400 individuals.

“It is a logical decision to unite two almost identical institutions. This reform will help rationally utilize the material and technical base, create a unified educational environment including a full-fledged sports complex, and improve the economic capacity of the institution. It will also contribute to enhancing the quality of education as it optimizes training directions according to the needs of the capital's labor market,” commented Valentyn Mondryivskyi.

The teaching staff of both institutions will be retained. The newly established educational institution will be named the “Kyiv Professional College of Construction Technologies and Services.”
