Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that a memorandum of cooperation with the United States concerning mineral extraction could be signed online today.

Source: Zelensky shared this information during a press briefing, as reported by "European Truth".

Details: The head of state noted that a few days ago, the American side suggested returning to discussions regarding the memorandum while lawyers are working on the main agreement about subsoil resources.

"We are optimistic and constructive, which we are demonstrating. Therefore, the memorandum of intent, rather than the agreement itself, may be signed online today," Zelensky said.

He added that Deputy Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko is currently collaborating with the American side on the text of the memorandum.

"This memorandum is an important step, and both countries should agree on it," the president emphasized.

Previously, Svyrydenko announced the signing of a memorandum with the USA, which will precede the agreement on mineral extraction.

Svyrydenko also reported significant progress in negotiations regarding the conclusion of a mineral agreement.
