Last week, nearly 5 million people used the Kyiv metro, including 1.3 million concession passengers. This was reported by the Kyiv Metro enterprise.
Routine maintenance work is being carried out on the infrastructure. Specifically, 17 wooden sleepers, 16 switch rails, and 112.5 meters of track have been replaced. Additionally, a scheduled major repair of escalators at the «Lybidska» station is ongoing.
During peak hours on weekdays, train intervals are 2:45–3:45 minutes, and during off-peak hours, they are 5:00–6:15 minutes. On weekends, the waiting time for a train is 6–7 minutes. More details about the operating schedule can be found at: http://metro.kyiv.ua/node/7290.
Due to passengers not following metro usage rules, escalator stops have been observed. Last week, there were 88 instances of escalator stops. Specifically, passengers stopped the escalator manually 4 times without necessity, 50 times to avoid injuries, and 25 times due to personal belongings getting caught. The enterprise urges everyone to be cautious and adhere to behavior rules.
