Today, October 30, the largest flag of Ukraine, located at the Memorial Complex ‘National Museum of the History of Ukraine in World War II’, was lowered due to forecasted adverse weather conditions. This was reported by the Kyiv Municipal Enterprise ‘Kyivzelenbud’.
According to meteorologists, wind gusts of 15-20 m/s are expected (yellow level of danger). To protect the fabric from damage, the flag will remain lowered until the end of October 31.
It is worth noting that the flagpole, where the largest Ukrainian flag flies, is situated on the Pechersk Hills. It stands almost 90 meters tall, weighs 32 tons, and the dimensions of the flag are 16 by 24 meters.
