On October 19, in Kyiv's Taras Shevchenko Park, there will be a free outreach event for women organized by the medical volunteer mission FRIDA Ukraine in collaboration with the DILA laboratory.

In a specially equipped mobile clinic, women can receive consultations from a mammologist and gynecologist, undergo breast ultrasound, pelvic ultrasound, and a Pap smear using liquid cytology. The examinations will be conducted by experienced volunteer doctors from FRIDA.

The health day coincides with October 20, which is the All-Ukrainian Day for Breast Cancer Awareness, and the entire month of October is dedicated to raising awareness on this topic.

“The event aims to encourage women to regularly undergo preventive examinations and take care of their health. During the event, the FRIDA team will also distribute informational materials on early breast cancer diagnosis and important aspects of women's health care. Paying attention to your body can save YOUR life,” the organizers state.

FRIDA Ukraine is a medical volunteer mission uniting over 1100 doctors from across the country and around the world. They operate in frontline regions, setting up field clinics to provide free medical services to those affected by military actions and occupation.
