Each blood donor is a true hero, with their contribution potentially saving many lives. In Kyiv, a celebration took place to honor those who actively support the blood donation movement and help countless individuals.

On the eve of World Blood Donor Day, June 13, Kyiv recognized its most dedicated donors. They were awarded acknowledgments from the Mayor, Vitali Klitschko, for their significant contributions to saving lives.

As stated by Kyiv City Council member Yulia Yarmolenko, donating blood is a testament to genuine humanity and civic responsibility.

«This day is dedicated to those who give hope for life every day. Those who create miracles by saving lives. We sincerely thank every donor for your courage and kindness. You are true heroes of our time. Thanks to you, the medical system can respond promptly to the needs of the sick. Blood donation is not just an act; it’s a mission that deserves recognition,» Yulia Yarmolenko added.

During the event, organizations that actively promote blood donation culture in Kyiv were also recognized. A concert program was organized for attendees, uniting everyone around the ideas of assistance and life.
