The administration of the National Preserve 'St. Sophia of Kyiv' has announced that the site will be closed to visitors due to technical issues.

On June 13 (Friday), the area will not be accessible, as stated by the representatives of the preserve on social media.

They also added:

'We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.'

This decision was made following the missile attack on June 10, which caused damage to the cathedral. The shockwave affected some elements of the building, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. This was reported by the Ministry of Culture.

Preserve specialists, along with the police, conducted an inspection of the cathedral's condition.
