There has been a disruption in the payment system at Kyiv metro – contactless bank card payments are currently unavailable.

This was reported by the Kyiv City State Administration.

The Kyiv metro has temporarily suspended bank card payments due to a technical failure in the "Oschadbank" system.

The City Administration stated that bank specialists are already working to resolve the issue. The exact time for the restoration of terminal services is not specified yet.

At the moment, passengers can pay for their metro rides in three ways:

• using a transport card;
• with a QR code in the "Kyiv Digital" app;
• using a paper QR ticket.
