On Wednesday morning, an incident involving gunfire occurred at a hotel in the Sviatoshyn district of Kyiv. Police quickly responded and detained the suspect, with no injuries reported among the public. It was later revealed that the shooter was an intoxicated resident from Khmelnytskyi.

Update: Later, it was revealed that the suspect is a 26-year-old man from the Khmelnytskyi region, who arrived in the capital for work and checked into the hotel. While intoxicated in his room, he fired several shots from a firearm, after which he was detained.

Authorities confiscated the weapon for examination. The shooter has been detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and is currently being questioned by investigators. He faces up to seven years in prison.
